Managing your career also means managing your professional development, and Tri-State can help you with both. Have you ever thought about the professional development opportunities available to you through volunteering or taking a leadership role with Tri-State?

What knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies do you need for success in your current position or for your desired career path, and where can you get them?

…The answer just might be Tri-State.

We want to encourage anyone who has had some of these thoughts to virtually participate in a one hour information session on April 13th at either Noon or 6 PM. The goal of the session is to give you an overview of opportunities available within Tri-State HRMA, to share the personal and professional benefits of volunteering, and answer any questions you might have. This is NOT a high sell meeting. You will not be making any commitment to the organization by attending.

If you want to explore the volunteer and leadership opportunities prior to the meeting please CLICK HERE for a list and description of Board and Committee Roles and Responsibilities.

We don’t want to overlook or miss out on terrific contributors and are actively encouraging individuals to self-nominate, to express interest in a position, or ask questions about the requirements for various opportunities within our chapter. We encourage you to forward this to folks you know who may have an interest in pursuing an opportunity in serving Tri-State HRMA, or who you think would be great in a particular role.

We are actively seeking to fill several chair and co-chair positions on our committees. While some of these roles are currently filled, we invite you to consider these opportunities.

Chairs and Co-chairs of our core leadership areas (CLAs) and operating committees:

  • HR Career Management
  • Certification Study Group
  • HR Community Outreach
  • Conference
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Emerging Professionals
  • Legislative Affairs
  • Membership
  • PR/Marketing/Social Media
  • Sponsorship/Preferred Partners
  • Programs
  • Student Relations
  • Workforce Readiness

If you are unable to attend either session, please reach out to either Monica McClintock at mmcclintock_hrm@hotmail.com or Spencer Broad at Spencer.Broad@coloniallifesales.com who can answer any questions you might have.
