Join Tri-State on Thursday, February 1st for a very special Dinner meeting at the Westin Hotel in Mount Laurel and hear Harriet Stein share her insights. Participants of Harriet’s lecture will be able to :

  • Understand the Principles and Benefits of Mindfulness in HR: Participants will gain a thorough understanding of what mindfulness is and how it can be effectively applied in the field of Human Resources. This includes learning about the benefits of mindfulness for enhancing decision-making, empathy, and communication skills within the HR context.
  • Acquire Practical Mindfulness Techniques for Professional Use: Attendees will learn specific, easy-to-implement mindfulness techniques that are tailored for HR professionals. These practices will be focused on improving everyday HR tasks such as conflict resolution, stress management, and fostering a positive work culture.

Harriet Stein, author of Perfect Attendance: Being Present for Life, understands the unique challenges that businesses face today, whether it be the need to lower healthcare costs, increase productivity, or boost employee engagement.

She began her career as a Registered Nurse, and while working at Johnson & Johnson taught over 5,000 employees and leaders how to decrease their stress and increase their performance. Injecting humor and science into her engaging programs, Harriet shows companies of all sizes how the power of leading with awareness strengthens organizations and creates healthy working environments.

In 2020 as the world went into lockdown, Harriet created Take a Pause, a global mindfulness training program that won first place in Impact on the Organization and second place in Innovation and Creativity at Sindusfarma’s Boomerang Awards, which recognize the best-in-class training and development programs in the pharmaceutical industry in Brazil. Professional Clothing Drive
Let’s empower those returning to the workforce!

The Workforce Readiness Committee is launching our “Springing into the Work Force” campaign by collecting gently used, clean professional clothing and accessories for men and women, that will be donated to organizations supporting underserved members of our communities who are returning to the workforce. As announced during the December breakfast, this clothing drive will run from January 3rd to February 29th. This is an opportunity to purge closet items while helping others. WRC will post more details on the Tri-State site, in the meantime, we look forward to seeing everyone at the February meeting and our committee members will be there to accept any clothing donations you bring to the meeting.
