A variety of accomplishments are highlighted and celebrated during the month of July. Independence Day, the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Disability Pride Month are all observed in July.

During Disability Pride Month, the history, accomplishments, experiences, and difficulties of the disability community are celebrated. Additionally, the 33rd anniversary of the ADA law’s passage is commemorated by Disability Pride.

  • Nelson Mandela’s Birthday (July 18, 1918- December 05, 2013) – Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid activist and politician who served as the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
