6/29/2009We recently received a memo from ADP on a change to the wage and hour in NJ. They tell us that the state worked through Jackson Lewis. I attached their article below. Can someone confirm if we have to follow suit? We have asked other business and no one seems to know what this is, when it starts. We round in favor of the employee. Is anyone else making this change?
Thanks!
3/24/2009I have a client who is a small technology company in South Jersey. He has hired a Korean national on an F1 visa and needs to start the H1B process. Does anyone know the answers to the following: 1) can an employee's attorney dually represent the hiring company too? 2) what are the normal costs associated with obtaining the H1B? 3) How soon after H1B is issued does the green card process begin and what are the costs associated? 4) is it a must that H1B sponsoring company must also sponsor for green card?
Any insight anyone can share is greatly appreciated. Suzanne L. Ackley, Ackley Consulting Group. 4/16/2008As many of you who attend our monthly meetings know, we often see presenters speak about the emerging strategic role of HR.
I am relatively new to the field, and my question to you is this: what are my the chances that I am going to be hired as an HR professional in an orgainization who views us as a valuable strategic resource? ?
